Accesibilidad en robots sociales para adultos mayores: Propiedades relacionadas con la comunicación no verbal

El uso de robots sociales mejora la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores, pero su comunicación no verbal (CNV) plantea importantes retos de accesibilidad asociados al posible deterioro sensorial o cognitivo de los usuarios. Este artículo identifica y analiza las pautas de accesibilidad para la CNV en la interacción humano-robot. Mediante una revisión de la literatura, se categorizaron las barreras de interacción y sus posibles soluciones. Los resultados muestran dificultades en dimensiones como la expresión facial, gestos, proxémica y morfología. Se concluye que el diseño de robots inclusivos debe evitar la dependencia exclusiva de canales visuales, adoptando un enfoque multimodal y simplificando la expresividad para prevenir la sobrecarga cognitiva.
