Una familia de experimentos para analizar las preferencias de los usuarios en el diseño de IGUs a partir de modelos BPMN

Resumen

Contexto: Diseñar las Interfaces Gráficas de usuario (IGUs) a partir de la Notación de Modelos de Proceso de Negocio (BPMN) no es trivial, hay gran variedad de alternativas gráficas para una misma primitiva BPMN. Objetivo: Una de las contribuciones es la elaboración de recomendaciones para seleccionar las alternativas gráficas a partir de primitivas BPMN que optimizan la usabilidad. Otra es la ejecución de una familia de experimentos para analizar las preferencias de los sujetos en el diseño de IGUs a partir de BPMN y ver si estas preferencias coinciden con nuestras recomendaciones. Método: Las recomendaciones de usabilidad fueron extraídas de propuestas anteriores. La familia de experimentos consiste en 2 réplicas de 43 y 47 sujetos donde se estudia la Atractividad (porcentaje de sujetos que prefieren cada alternativa de diseño) y la Correctitud (porcentaje de sujetos cuya preferencia coincide con la recomendación que proponemos). Resultados: La Atractividad muestra que 10 alternativas (de 14) de diseño de IGUs superaron el 50% de los votos de los sujetos. La Correctitud muestra que 8 alternativas de diseño (de 14) coinciden con nuestras alternativas recomendadas. Conclusiones: Las alternativas con mejor Atractividad y Correctitud son report, datagrid, combobox, timer, hyperlink, Textbox, checkbox y buttons
