SUPER, una Aplicación para Mejorar la Accesibilidad Cognitiva de Micropoemas

Las personas con discapacidad cognitiva o intelectual presentan dificultades relacionadas con la comunicación en general, y con la comprensión lectora en particular. Para derribar estas barreras y mejorar su vida cotidiana, los materiales escritos pueden adaptarse manualmente siguiendo la Metodología de Lectura Fácil (LF). Sin embargo, este proceso de adaptación a versiones de lectura fácil es laborioso en tiempo y recursos, pues involucra tanto a personas con discapacidad cognitiva como a expertos de la metodología. Con el fin de facilitar el acceso cognitivo a textos literarios, nuestra investigación se centra en la creación automática de versiones de lectura fácil de la llamada micropoesía, un tipo de poesía que se caracteriza por su extrema brevedad, que está escrita normalmente con un estilo propio, y que suele encontrarse en línea, sobre todo en Twitter. Para ello, proponemos un enfoque basado en Inteligencia Artificial (IA) y sustentado por las pautas de LF. En este artículo, presentamos SUPER (SUggesting microPoems in E2R (Easy-to-Read)), una aplicación que sugiere automáticamente adaptaciones de micropoemas en versiones en LF. Para validar SUPER, hemos realizado una doble evaluación: una cuantitativa centrada en índices de lecturabilidad y otra cualitativa basada en un estudio preliminar con personas con discapacidad cognitiva.
