Hacia una Metodología de Evaluación de la Experiencia del Consumidor de Información

La información es uno de los bienes más preciados para las organizaciones en la búsqueda de ganar ventajas competitivas frente a sus competidores. Actualmente, el uso de información organizacional permite identificar las preferencias de los clientes, mejorar procesos internos, entre otros beneficios. Si bien el consumo de información se ha estudiado en la literatura, la Experiencia del Consumidor de Información (ICX) carece de una metodología formal para su evaluación. En este sentido, este estudio presenta una metodología estructurada para la evaluación de ICX en organizaciones, como una iteración del trabajo desarrollado previamente por los autores. Esta metodología se compone de tres etapas: Caracterización, Experimentación y Análisis. En la etapa de Caracterización para realizar un análisis exploratorio de los consumidores y proveedores de información de la organización. La etapa de Experimentación se enfoca aplicar instrumentos cualitativos y cuantitativos para recopilar información acerca de la percepción de los consumidores. Mientras que en la etapa de Análisis se procesan dicha información para generar métricas de evaluación. Esta metodología representa el primer enfoque formal para evaluar la ICX, aplicable en cualquier tipo de organización que gestione una gran demanda de información, a fin de evaluar la experiencia de los consumidores y ofrecer recomendaciones para su mejora.
