Videojuegos y Adicción: Estrategias para un Juego Sano

La adicción a los videojuegos es un trastorno de creciente preocupación en la sociedad, ya que conlleva ciertas consecuencias negativas para la salud mental y el bienestar de los jugadores. Este artículo muestra los resultados de una revisión de la literatura en varias bases de datos, como Science Direct, Scopus e IEEE Xplore. Se identificaron las tendencias demográficas en la adicción a los videojuegos, así como la influencia de la motivación intrínseca y extrínseca. Se destacan los elementos adictivos por naturaleza, así como la influencia de los diseñadores y desarrolladores en estos juegos adictivos. También se menciona la influencia del COVID – 19 en el uso de los videojuegos. Los hallazgos sugieren que, aunque los videojuegos pueden ofrecer ciertos beneficios cognitivos, el uso excesivo impulsado por factores motivacionales específicos puede llevar a problemas de salud. El estudio subraya la necesidad de diseñar estrategias para abordar y mitigar la adicción a los videojuegos, basadas en el marco de Octalysis, que ayudará a crear juegos equilibrados y sanos. Basado en estos hallazgos, se presenta el progreso de una interfaz de videojuego que sigue las recomendaciones proporcionadas.
